View Full Version : Sprocket size on small track.....

Ok next week I have a race and it is going to be a very small track, never out of 3rd. I was thinkin about changeing my gearing to 14/36 I have allready got the 36 on with the stock 15. What do you guys think I should do?

that sounds good to me. i went down 2 on the back(for other reasons) and there was a noticable difference.

Either leave it the was it is or put the 38 rear back on...I don't know if you took links out of the chain when you put the 36 tooth on or not,,if you didn't and you add a 14 up front you most definitly probably will have to loose a link or 2. I say throw the stock one back on and be done with it..:D

About puttin the stock 38 back on.

exactly,,,,,you'll be able to carry a corner a gear high better and not bog the motor down so much,,you'll get thru the corners faster this way..
