Ok, i have an MTD lawn mower and a john deere. The MTD is mine and the deere is my dads. My dad and i will be making a straight pipe for it and i also want to know of ways to make it faster. I hear something about pullies, but what pullies? Any forums i can go to? Need tips for makin her get up and go. PS: it is a 7 speed with a so called clutch.

hey put a smaller pully on the rear end ,small belt ,remove mower deck.

Where are these pullies located on the mower? I still wanna use it to mow too but also for fun. Keepin the deck. Where can you get these pullies?

You should look up a lawn mower racing forum. There is a rear end that every one uses.

the rear pullies is normally under the seat and u can get the pullies at alot of diff hardware stores around here ne ways

What if i were to to just switch the back to the front and front to the back? Also doing so do i run a risk of blowing the engine or anything like that?

^^^ Nope because it staying at the same rpm. I got two craftsman lawnmowers and that i run the hell out of.

I don't know if your really gonna like a straigh pipe on a small engine, most of the time or at least in my experiences it decreases top end power, mow low end snap but higher rpms got no power.
WHO CARES!! we're talkin about lawn mowers!!
