I have heard thet the 2005 weight is 15 pounds heavier than the 99-04 models. What is the added weight from. The reverse cable and counter gear shouldn't weigh very much! I also know the gear ratio is differant 39 teeth on the rear and 14 on the front. as well as the transmission ratio is differant. is there any more changes?

I think starting in 2004 the carb went from a 36mm to a 38mm. The plastic also changed. I think that is about it.

Do the 05's have liquid cooling? That would add alot of weight...

Nope, the 400 is aircooled.
