I was putting new brakes on my neighbors Recon yesterday. Got it all cleaned, and installed the new pads. I had no resistance on the front brake lever. I tried using a hand pump to feed the brake fluid through the lines. It seemed to work, but still had no resistance. With the pads off, the calipers would move out a little. Once the pads were back on, nothing. Does this definately mean the calipers are bad, or have I done this installation incorrect. I always thought, even when you put new pads on, you should always feel resistance on the brake lever. I always kept the fluid full when I was pumping fluid into the lines. Any help would be appreciated .
