hey u guys will a 500 scrambler beat my friends alll stock 300ex.......

in a race around a track wit pretty much no jumps? cuz they wanna race around my track in my back yard so wat ya think??????? just wondering??????????:confused:

see thats what im thinkin but they dont accelarate real fast & dont take jumps very good cuz its 4 wheel drive but i still dunno? see i have lots of turns & they dont accelerate of turns very well

I own a scrambler(400 4x4).......... its nothing like me 400ex but if you get someone on one of those things that can ride there pretty fast. Once they get going there running hard. As long as the jumps arn't doubles it shouldn't have a problum beating a stock 300.

i know but the kid on the scrambler is 12 & doesnt have a clue how 2 ride & the kid on the 300 is pretty skilled on how to ride so ya see i dunno who would win?

Hey my friedn ahs a scrambler 400 that is stock and he says that they go the same speed as 500, and his goes 70 mph. My other friend has a blaster that goes 65mph, and my cousins stock 300ex spanks it bad. I think it will be a pretty close race, but of course the honda will come in first.;)

i know the scrambler would win in a drag race but im just talkin about a moto race around my track. besides a 300ex only goes like 60 stock or accually like 57 or so but wit a pipe it might go 65.

actually there pretty neck and neck thru all the gears. and polaris's do accelerate real fast, it jus dosent feel or sond like it because its an automatic

on mine i can beat it in accelaration

Its going to be a close race. but any mods to the 300ex engine and that polaris is gone. Hey speaking of mods i want to know where HonDAdude26 got a powerbomb header for his 300ex, i have looked everywhere and FMF does not seem to make them.

its not really a fmf powerbomb but i got 1 built just like it my mechanic made it i dunno if he'll make 1 4 just anyone ill ask him though. it took him like 2months to make

hey hondaguy, are theyre any mods to the 300? on a track i would say probably the 300 because Polaris are made for muddin and rock climbin, noot racing but i have seen a few polaris's that fly. im goin on the 300

If they were equally skilled riders the polaris will smoke it easily.It accelerates way faster than a modded 300 ex (like a pipe and air filter stuff).Trust me i know, i own both of them look in my sig.

The only thing that is going to change the top speed is tires or sprockets..... damnit.. anywho quit asking all these dang questions about who is going to win. Usually when it comes down to it.. its the rider. If your friend on the 300 is so skilled im sure he will spank the 12 year old. But if you really want to know who will win then have the freaking race.

i dont agree with that bigger is always better i have a 250 i can beat alot of 400 and mine is not even close to 397cc so it isnt always better

but 250xrider keep in mind that this is a 500 BUT it has no clutch, 4wheel drive, & MUCH heavier. but i agree bigger is SOMETIMES better

hey u guys when my 300 was stock i clocked mine @ 63 so i think honda guy is right on that one (gotta defend him hes a pretty good friend)

63 mph as its falling out of an airplane maby. you sound like my friend clint who claims his cobra piped warrior will run 76mph and his friend had a blaster on jet fuel that would smoke banshees till it blew up, literally , the piston knocked a hole in the gastank or somthin. common guys , keep it real here.

dude I KNOW it sounds off & the radar gun could be off becuz I got my brother which is a cop to clock me. but thats what it said im serious. mine will go about 70(or around there) now but i have different tires & some motor work

Alright guys this is what i have to say about this pipe adding top speed bigger motors adding top speed gearing and tires will do that not motor work or pipes. What you recieve with a pipe and motor work is getting to that top speed faster. If you see any change in top speed it will be minimal. I run snowmobiles in radar runs during the winter. If you have enough horsepower to pull the gear you will go that speed. Now my opinion on the scrambler and the 300 is this. You say the track has no jumps really, if it is wide open for a novice rider to make mistakes and some straight he should be able to beat him. If that kid rides that good then he should beat him. It is all rider not horsepower unless you are drag racing these radar runs you guys are always talking about.

really thats strange when i could beat a 400 & i still had stock tires & sprockets but i had my 330 kit & motor work

Like i said motor work and a pipe will help you get there faster. Now alot of people don't understand how a one or two mph faster machine at the top end can't beat a machine that gets to its top end faster. Let me try to explain it. When your 330 beats a stock 400 it gets to its top end faster than the 400. Let me put it this way. Say your machine has a top end of 60 and say the 400 goes 63 but yourt machine will out accelerate the 400. Even though you can beat it eventually it will go by your machine. Just you haven't ever race it long enough for it to crawl by you. Now remember this is hypothetical just for everyones understanding. When i was talking about the machines it is more the rider and not the horsepower of each machine. You could have the fastest machine around if you don't know how to get it rolling without stalling you won't win. 90% of your wins out on the track will be from you skill not your machine.

i draged a 500 scrambler on a gravel road with my 400ex he had me for about a 100 yards than i smoked him.
he had 4 wheel drive and i was spinning bad

my friend have a scrambler 500HO 2x4, with some clutch mod and razr tire at rear and for those who said that polaris dont have acceleration i can said that it was pretty close of my 416 and dont know about the top speed but it was fast, between a stock 400ex and a stock raptor.

harebounder- im not sayin i have the fastest machine out there, but see i live by an airstripe. its about 3/4 of a mile long. i have beat a 400 in this distance. my dads 400 gets to top end alot faster than that? so u make no sense to me? :confused:

i ride with someone on a 500 and i always beat him, the only thing they win in is a drag race and when i start in 3rd he barly beats me

honda dude what i was trying to say to you is that if you are on a highway ok. Now you let your dad take off and as soon as he gets to his top end you take off. Now say his machine tops out at 63 mph. Your machine on the other hand has a top speed of 65. How long do you think it would take you to get by him. It would take a great distance. So what i am trying to say is acceleration and top speed are two different things. So you may beat him in 3/4 of a mile but if he has more top end then you he will eventually get by you. I hope that helps on what i was talking about.
