please help with jetting...i have a race friday

please can some1 help me. I have a 2003 400ex that has a 416 wiseco piston, stg 2 hotcam, uni filter, yoshimura slip on, and a fmf power bomb header. The jets that i have in right now r a 155 main and a 42 pilot. When ever i let off the gas, or downshift while ridin it hard, there is a puff of blue smoke. Please help me asap. i have a race on friday. Any help is apreciated

if its smoking sounds like its a little rich. do a plug check and see what color it is. maybe try going down a jet size or two. But most of the time blue smoke means burning oil?

thats just burnin oil bud. Blue smoke is oil, black smoke is jetted too rich, and with your mods and your jetting it definitely doesnt sound rich. Is it running ok though other than that? Its going to be to hard to do a plug check cause its probably going to have burnt oil all over it.

alright....i geuss i will try n do that.....but it aint smokin cuz the rings r shot cuz they r brand new... Thanks for the help tho

the thing is with the oil..there is always the same amount in there. and the motor is fresh with probably 7 tanks thru it. and i ran it really easy right at first

Could be valve seals, and running it really easy first doesn't seal rings very good, so there is a chance that they didn't get a good seal.

Sounds like its runnin hot or is time for r&r. Runnin lean can do it
