I wouldn't consider $1849.95 a cheap setup. ;) More toward the lower end of the high dollar setups.

i've got houser +2 aarms and elka rec. shocks, and i think that's an excellent setup for what i payed for it. i got the shocks for $440 and a few dealers sell the aarms for $525(i got mine used tho)

any standard travel A-arm with a stock shock revalve would probably provide the most bang for the buck

I have a pretty cheap setup on my 450r.

380$ for burgards 2+1 a-arms Nickel plated
200$ for a Geforce +3 axle
725$ for Derisi revalve's and a new rear linkage.

That was alot cheaper than I paid on my 416ex.

1000$ for Lonestar +2 race seriies a-arms Chromed upper and lowers
1700$ for elka's front and rear standard travel remote rezzy.
225$ for a used lonestar +4 axle.

i'd say now that I got the 450r's shocks dialed in pretty well. It handles pretty close to the same as my 416ex does. Im very happy witht he performance im getting from the 450r's suspension setup for 1700$ less than I spent on the 416.

That depends on what your plans are with it. If you trail ride mostly then I would just keep the stock A-arms (because they're cheap to replace) and get all 3 shocks done by GT Thunder with the rear linkage.

If you race MX the only way to go is a long travel set up.

Might as well do it right, if you're gonna do it at all..

Lonestar w/ PEP, or Axis
