I am going with a new sleeve and 440 piston, 11:1. Is the wiseco piston decent? I can get it alot cheaper.

JE is more money but worth it. Either JE or Ross before wiseco.

I've been running an 11:1 standard bore wiseco for over a year now. Wiseco makes quality pistons and you wouldn't be wrong in going with a wiseco. I think the JE's might weigh a hair less, and the ross' weigh a little less than those even. Im not sure, but any one of those three pistons is a good choice.

Also I have a cylinder w/ a 440 sleeve already pressed in and a 12.5:1 wiseco piston w/ a NO-Blow head gasket. I will sell this whole setup for cheaper than the kit your looking at. PM me for details.

JE and Ross have more accurate Compression ratio's. of wiseco says 11:1, it is more like 10.5:1 JE or Ross you get teh ratio you pay for. I prfer JE and think they make a better piston. i have used wiseco without any problems, but think JE is the better choice.

Duncan Racing uses JE pistons. I have a 12:1 in my duncan 440. I also have a weisco in my 250r. Both are high quality but for the 4 stroke i would go with the JE, but they are more expensive.

JE, I've never had good luck with Wiseco in 2 or 4 stroke engines for some reason, I have a JE in my 400, no problems at all. IMO

Actually I belive the 11:1 wiseco was closer to 9.5:1. I'm also pretty sure that the JE and Ross pistons weren't exact either but were closer. Its hondas design thats messing up the compression ratios. It doesn't have the proper squish area and its throwing off the compression ratios. Most people try to correct it with thinner gaskets, but then your throwing off the timing a little bit too. The best thing to do (if you had the money) is to get like a custom Ross piston that took care of the squish problem.
