axle carrier

Hey whats up I just got an 03 Raptor and Im trying to change the rear brake rotor. I was just wondering, is the big axle carrier nut reverse thread? Ive been trying to get it off with massive channel locks and as of now its kicking my *** lol. Its got a Dura Blue axle so I know its been taken apart already. And yea its still a stock carrier. Any help would be appreciated.

you are saying it is an aftermarket axle with the stock locknuts? let me know whick dura blue you have and i will help ya from there bro

Alright I got the axle out and the carrier is freaking destroyed. 1 question though, how do you get the carrier out? I took out those 2 long bolts that go through the swingarm and from looking at a fiche it looks like the hub should just come out. What started as wanting to change a rotor quickly became far more expensive lol. The kid I got it from was an idiot and crossthreaded the left tensioner bolt. Then it seems he rode the hell out of it with the bolt loose and the axle was prob slamming back and forth. I knew it was messed up when I got the quad but I didnt think it was this bad. You can even see where the sprocket bolts hit the skid plate.

The initial reason everythings apart... He rode it with no brake pads in the caliper. Not worn out pads... no pads.

Also do Dura Blue axles have ny distunguishing marks on them? He says its a Dura Blue but I really cant tell the difference from looking at pics of a stock one aside from mine having longer splines for the hub spacers. I know they usually have big gay rainbowish stickers on them but this one doesnt.

Any suggestions on a new carrier? I was thinking Dura Blue since thats the axle I supposedly have but theyre expensive as hell and from what people are saying on here they suck at life.
