haha , a powerband isnt somthing that exists that you can take on and off. it should be called a power range. it is the portion of your RPMs where your motor makes the most HP. like a 2 stroke has a very abrupt powerband , it " hits ". a 4 stroke feels more gradual as the power comes on. you cant just " buy a new powerband"

mx is right all it is is where the engine makes it power...

u can change the power band by adding pipes and such.... it changes teh curve of the power... look at a dyno...

do scramblers have powerbands? my friend told me that the chain driven automatics have them, to my understanding they are like belts....

yes everything does have its own powerband escentially. But more people refer to a "power band" when they are talking about 2 strokes. A 2 stroke's powerband is very abrupt and it hits hard and revs high. When you are dealing with a 4 stroke its more of a power curve..it doesnt really "hit hard" it justs kind of accelerates gradually and "curves" and tips off at wot..Hope I helped..

I know about that kind, he said you can buy it and replace them, the way i understand it is that it is like a belt, because on his scrambler he bought an "x-band" for it.

ok, a power band is just the most powerful point on the rpm chart, like on a dyno chart, where the horsepower of an engine peaks the power curve is at its highest, which is the power band of an engine,

No offense but ya'll need to study up a little more on powerbands if you think it as an actual belt.

actuallly the um powerband u see runs off the erar shock and umm if u want to u can go abra kadbra and make a big powerband boom! lol this is so funny like when u here people say yeh the pipe really uncorked it it made the poerband better by making the motor have a biiiger band and more hp in most cases like when u hear ricky c. say my poerband was to high it was that he wasnt running enough rubber bands in his motor to get enough boinnng ! lol

ya no i had a kid in school today ask me if his dirtbike had a powerband and if he could buy a new one, and how long it took before you have to replace it. it makes me hurt inside when i think people dont no what a powerband is if they have a fourwheeler or a dirtbike.

Personally I think the red powerbands are the best. I used the blue ones for a while, but kept breaking them. Glad they are cheap, well at least the red ones are. lol

Oh... and whatever you.....don't mix the colors of your powerband, you'll regret it.
