Yfz problem?

Some how motor oil is getting in the air box.It was coming from the breether assy. next to the coolent tank. Do you guys know why its doing that?

that little black box is a place for the oil vapor to go. once the foam inside the box is saturated, the excess oil goes into the airbox. most people get rid of the box or the tube that goes to your air box, and vent the crankcase to the ground in front of the rear shock.

No. I took the black box off all three of my yfz's, and they have been running fine for aver a year. I just copied the way Kory Ellis did his.
You disconnect the long hose comming from the valve cover, from the "box", and (using a "T" that you can get at a hardware store) connect it to the vent tube comming from the starter housing, then run the hose along side the carb vent hoses, to the back of the motor.

BTW.......... the yz450f dirt bike, just vents into the frame.
