CRF/YZF 250 egnine in a 250x frame???

would a CRF or a YZF 250 engine fit in a 250x frame is it worth the money to switch the two engines?

no becuse the motor will have to much power for that quad. u would have to mod evey thing besides like plastics.

as long as you got handling such as axle aarms etc it should be good crf/yzf 250 motors make as much power as a 400ex with less weight like some ppl figured i could drop a 250r motor and it would still handle fine but i'm not a 2 stroke person

not that bad, a brand new stock yz250f makes 34 rwhp, subtract a lttle hp cause of extra resistance of an atv (two wheels a bigger axle you know) and youll probably end up aroung 30 to 32 hp, thats like 4 more than a stock 400ex, i would recomend the extended a-arms and swinger though

thats kinda my dream quad..but putting it in a x frame is a bad idea..try the 250r

what are you talking about it has to much power for that frame your better of putting it in a 400ex or 250r the x frame is not as strong plus youll have to drop so much money into arms shocks etc.
