View Full Version : What skid plate for GT Thunder Link?

what swing arm skid plate covers the Gt Thunder linkage? i have been hitting it quite a bit lately and thinking i probably should get something to protect it a little. thanks

I doubt that you can buy one that will, your only options are to shim the skid plate down using washers, which will lower your ground clearance even more, or cut a notch in the skid plate, but that really wont cover the link.

don't worry your not goin to break it, i haven't broke mine and laz assures me that they haven't broke any either, just let her fly, besides if you did some how miracously break it i'm sure laz would probably replace it he's pretty good bout stuff like that

yeah i have been very impressed to, all the corners are rounded and mushroomed over but it hasnt let me down yet. i've been running his set up all summer and i dont have one complaint, huge improvement over stock. it is a night and day difference and for the price there is no beating it.

my bike has a gt thunder link and a prm skid plate and from the pic you can see that there was some obvious triming made

maybe because he has 6 different links or because mine is a 450R...idk
