Just undo both hoses and let it drain out, clamp hoses back on, and fill it up. not sure on how much.

Ya you need to flush the system. I have heard that you just run distilled water through it a few times and that gets it pretty well cleaned out. If you just drain the radiator and put the engine ice in you wont notice the complete change the engine ice can do. You will be amazed at how much is left when you flush the system.

do i run the quad with distilled water like on a normal ride or do i just let it sit in neutral and rev it a few times to clean it all out?

Ya just go and ride like you normally would. I wouldnt ride balls out but ya know ride it enough to where it gets to run through the motor then drain it again and i would do it one more time just to be safe.

You don't have to toke off the hoses. take off the radiator cap. Then there is a drain bolt in the water pump housing. Take it out and it will drain the system. the coolant will come shooting out like a hose be ready for it. Put the bolt drain back. Put in water, run it a couole of minutes. Drain the water put the Engine Ice in and your done.

yep, the bottom of the water pump housing is an 8mm bolt. just take it out and coolant will come out. careful where you do this at. it will fly all over the place. you will have to crack your radiator cap first. then you can drain the overflow tank by removing the line at the bottom of it. i ran distilled water in my bike for awhile. i made sure i got the bike up to 180 so the thermastat kicked on and coolant ran through the lines. i did this twice.

You can use a shop vac to help suck out every last bit of the old fluid if you want.

I haven't done it on a quad but used to on the old small block Chevy.
