Have you all had any rain down there? Keep me updated. Thanks a lot, Josh

Kurt Glore
09-25-2005, 09:27 AM
It rained all night and it is still raining right now. A lot of rain last week and the week before. I rode last weekend at the park (the actual race is held outside of the normal riding boudries) and it was not dusty at all. We will need rain the week before the race or it will be dusty.

Shoot me an email if you need anything, I dont always check the board.

When down last weekend and laid out the atv course. As it stands right now it is 8 miles in length. The course will be running in a clockwise direction. We did alot of different trails from the MofD race this summer. There will be a few new sections of woods. Will be going down sometime in the next 2 weeks and trim the trees. Sorry, but not going by the restarea this time. I do have a Lover's Leap section. Found a cliff that is a bout 3-4 ft tall that you can go off or go though a revan about 4ft wide. If it stays wett like it is now, dust should not be a problem. But, if it dries up and no more rain for the new few weeks it will be dusty.

jdwxv3
09-25-2005, 07:44 PM
will the cliff be the faster route?

motoboy66

this is going to be my first race on my 450. do i need a district card. i have my atva card

jdwxv3
09-27-2005, 08:42 PM
You do not need a district card. What quad did you have before and where do you race at? The stock class will probaly have about 10 people in it.

Oh yea, and I have never raced Park Hills so I dont know if the track is tight or what. I hear wide open with lots of dust if we dont get rain.

The only thing you will need ia an AMA/ATVA card no district card. been racin Flat River for years been there in the mud and dust prefer the mud as to the dust. Track will have almost everything a good hare scamble could have you have agood time

ronnie

no. stock tires will not hold up to many rocks and you do not need
a kill switch.

yfz450xc
09-28-2005, 03:48 PM
If yopu have never been to a flat river race you will not be disappointed; well marked and thought out. The course is lated out by BJohnes and tprender and several other quad riders so they know what to throw at us.
Remember the only times you get to ride this area is during thier events.
:D
Scott

If you are careful and lucky the stock tires can hold up.

I have all the scores done but I can not figure out how to make it fit on this site. All the work averages are corrected and points added.
If anyone wants to see them Mail me your address and I can e-Mail them back to you, or if some one knows how to put them on here I will mail them to you which ever way you want:D
I will be sending them tonight to the score keeper as well in hopes of trying to correct all the mixup's ?

Thanks Scott. Had fun. Bryan you almost had to roll in the mud. :) I had to spend 4 hours cleaning the quad and I still have to clean the trailer out, my gear, and I think I still have mud in parts of my body that should not have mud. :eek2:

Anyway it was worth it. The only thing is now the 06 don't start. Looks like its back to larry to fix it again. I am beging to think I'm hard on these things. :huh

It wasn't the quad it was his stoping to get gloves and gogles as well as hitting a tree and ripping off the nerf that allowed me to pass him. As for on a honda ? Lets see shep me and Dogg all were on Yamahas I don't know what Carson rides but I think us Yamaha guys did very well. :macho

Ronnie if it were not for yamaha handa would not have maid anything so be thankful for yamaha. They were the brave ones and always keep making a sport quad why others just ran away. Besides Larry treats me to well not to race a true sport / race quad YAMAHA .

Yes they are have peewee ATV's on Sat and peewee bikes on
Sunday. Yes this is an AMA event.
ATV peewee's signup is Sat 7:30-8:45 and racing at 9am
Youth signup is $15 with an AMA/ATVA card. I think that they are going to be giving out awards to all of the youth. We told them to , do this, don't do like they did last year, just a few. I have no control over this. We told them what to do for the youth. The youth will have 2 different course just like at the March of Dimes did this summer. Little, little kids and bigger kids on different courses at the same time.
The MHSC atv course is 8 miles long. I did almost a completly different course than the March of Dimes race. As of right now no dust. But, things can change.

Last timeI knew it was about 25 to 30 a small bag on the grass. I think you should try something more leagle like working at McDs or something. :D

Are you just getting new oil, or are you re-springing and re-valving? To re-spring and re-valve it will run you around $600.00. Just to get better oil put in them it would probaly be closer to $150-200??? That last number was just a guess.

I know for a fact C&D racing redoes all 3 shocks for $615, makes the fronts tripple rate ZPS and the rear dual rate ZPS and they use TCS springs.

As far as your arm goes, I would watch it....I have broke several bones over time and just because the cast is off does NOT mean you are completly ready to carry on with your daily activities. Did you ask the doctor about racing? If you do good luck but you'd better watch it one race is not worth a deformed arm.

Race stock, the more the merrier. As it stands right now there will only be about 5 people in the class........if that many. My cousin that was going to possibly race it broke the case on his 450R so he is out. Shoot I dont know if my 450 will even make it, we just got a new riding area about 5 miles from my house and I have probaly put more hours on it the last week or so than I have since I bought it in April. Now everything is loose as a goose. Anyway, you cant run stock with the HMF...even though a pipe does not help much... you cant even take the baffle out of your stock pipe. Later, Josh

You should be fine with one tank of gas. I would show up at around 9am to get signed in and be able to go on the practice lap. Come up and say hi, I will be driving a Red f-150 extended cab with a black 450R #39 and a Orange 450R on a little trailer big enough to haul 2 quads. Yea and unfortunatley I ruined 2 back razar 2 tires b/c I had to race 75% of the race on 2 flats b/c my studs on my hubs got stripped out. Got the first flat early in the first lap and the second came early in the 2nd lap. I wanted to quit but I figured what the hell it is the last race of the year. It was a blast and I just barely got nuged out of the top 20 with 21st.

Just wonted to say thanks to Scott for all he has done this year and also the Shep.

Shep was the man today. He let TOd race his quad and then he help change my flat front. Heck Shep and Scott show what its all about. Shep I O U big time. I would have had a first if it was not for the cherry picker from the A class racing stock.

Yea shep is the man for the day that is for sure I have some god stories to tell on this one. Cherry picker huh who might that be :D
There was alot of switching around on this race race but that is what makes it fun.
And the best race of the day was on the Mini 50's, Zak , Tyler Brian and Alex, wow that was some racing today there.we got the pics of it so they will be up soon.

That is the last time I am racing the stock class, besides my quad was just as stock as yours:D If the stock class gets more popular I would like to see different levels of stock so it is not unfair. I dont feel it is fair for me to kill myself in the A class on a stock quad that is vs. $10,000.00 plus quads. Plus I was thinking about racing stock at the Iron Man and I needed to see if I could handle it. I really got to find out the hard way that I could, riding on 2 flat back tires really really hurts. My dang studs striped out of my hubs and the wheels would not come off. Anyway, I will see you at the next Hillbilly race in Westphlia, if not there than at the banquet.

Like I have said. Reall men race stock. :macho

Besides I had a flat front tire. Again thanks to Shep, Tod and the big guy I cant remember his name but they did a great job pitting for me. Man that was a fun race almost as good as the creek. They also gave out a good number of placks this time.

I know your messing with me, But I really wish stock would get more popular so there could be a couple more stock classes, it would be nice to save all that money used to mod your suspension. Oh well I am sure it will never happen because people love the roar of the pipe:macho! I sure missed the noise of the pipe because it sounded like my motor was going to explode most of the race:ermm: Anyway I have to go to work this morning:( so I better get off here. I got first in stock. You got lucky on the stock tire ordeal, I ruined two back razar 2's. The first one went flat the beginning of the first lap, the second went flat the start of the second lap. I did not know this before the race but my studs were stripped out on my hubs so I had to race the race with 2 flats in the rear, my back is killing me today and thought I was going to blow my motor up. Thank goodness I had beadlocks or I could not have finished. Congrats on your finish by the way. Later, Josh

Wasn't harping on you at all just that I get alot of flak form the MX side on outlaw racing, there are a bunch of definitions for it that is for sure , but what is most important here is that you had fun on a great course set up for ATV's "BY" ATV racers.
Hats off to Tom P , Greg K , Gary H and all the Mo Mudder's crew for a good race.
With such great people in the series there is no reason why we cant be # 2 behind GNCC's.:eek2:
Really you wont find better people than there is in the MHSC series..
But what do I know I am old slow and I showed geoff "Everything there is to learn about being slow" I owe him for that one.:D :D
Watch out Geoff I may have to break out the "Wife's " bike on you for the first race:blah: .
