Hey guys can you keep an eye out for some Axis Front Shocks for a 450R. Standard or Long Travel. I would prefere Standard because of the cost of LT but I will look into anything, I would like to have a front end by the Hillbilly. Thanks and tell anyone you know to get with me if they want to sell there front end!

Later, Josh

Usually I dont post these on here but it is a end to a year and a great year it was. I Especially want to thank Harlan Foley for putting up with all us redneck's.

The Following is a race report written for ATV Racing Extra news paper from the MHSc series .

MHSC Final Round Show Down
from the Missouri Mudders

The final round of the MHSC 2005 series started off like the first round in
late spring with high hopes, great weather and every racer ready to get
it under way due to a small break from the racing schedule. This last round
was held on the familiar soil of Park Hills Mo on the state historical site of
the old abandoned mines and is also host to the famous March of Dimes
Grand Prix every year.
The day started off with the mini’s racing and that became a bundle of
excitement with in itself. These little racers were as ready to “Get Er Done”
as the big quads. The race was held for 30 minutes and all of them doing 19
laps before it was over. The start was Tyler Shepard, Zak Sawyer and Brian
Johnson going 1,2,3 with Alex Bloodworth right on their tail. Brian would
succumb to Tyler and Zak’s bumping and settle in for a 3rd place spot with
Alex right on his tail. Brian would have problems with a deep rut, opening
the door for Alex . Tyler remained in first for the first 18 laps and in
the last 100 yard stretch Zak would put the pass on Tyler for the win after
numerous tries and Brian would get around Alex on the last lap as well for
3rd. In the end it was Zak taking 1st, Tyler taking 2nd, Brian taking 3rd
and Alex taking 4th; oh did I forget to mention that Alex is actually a girl
under the guidance of her father Ronnie Bloodworth who is
fast racer himself.
The Main Event
The course was 7 miles and layed out by the Missouri Mudders
with the help of Tom Pendergrass, Greg kinklear, and Gary Horn setting up
the course for the quads. It reminded me more of Loretta Lynn’s than
the normal MHSC tracks with its up hill speed robbing jumps, the
down hill jumps only to be faced with a off camber left turn or the
fast straight’s with the 3 foot jump sending everyone higher than we
liked and to be staring straight into a large tree; one had to be sure
to get on the brakes fast enough in order to make a sharp right hand turn as
well, but by the end of the day it was nothing but sheer fun. After all the
jumps and woods you headed out to the sand flats and for the first 2 laps it
was, just sit back and listen to your pipe talk; but by lap 3
they weren’t fun any more and by lap 4 you were cussing them for
bouncing you around so much. The famous fast straight’s were
present again as well in the typical 5th gear wide open fashion.
The dust was moved out by the slight breeze we had all day which made for
some close racing out in the woods. The rolling rocks or boulders became
hazardous after the 3rd lap due to everyone being tired now
and always in a new position.
The main event was about to start and in the Pro Class the battle was
between Dave Hicks and Todd Senger. Todd not having a good day
with head gasket problems and looking like he might not get to finish
the year long battle between him and Dave until Jamie Shepard comes
along and decides to surrender his quad to Todd so they can finish the
battle. By the days end it would be Dave coming across the finish line
in front of Todd and taking the overall win for the year; but not with
out their problems, Todd shall we say, had trouble’s adjusting to the
quad he was lent and the quad seen more of the track than it should have
while Dave’s quad was having stalling problem’s all day. Final results for
the Pro Class were Kyle Martin 1st, Dave Hicks 2nd and Ron Bloodworth
3rd.
In the Open A Class it would be Jake Wyatt dealing a vicious blow to the
rest with a 5 minute lead for 1st place, so I guess it is safe to say that his
new Honda ride is working for him; coming in 2nd it was Darrin Polacek
and Lee Sawyer taking the 3rd place spot.
The -24 B Class which always holds surprises proved to be no
different than the rest with Brett Snead just smoking hot and coming in with
a 6 minute lead for 1st and Zach Werdehausen taking 2nd and Michael
Townsend rounding out the top 3 for 3rd .
In the Vet B ( +25) Class it was all about Nick Sutton coming in 1st from
a last position start, Jared Bertels taking 2nd and yours truly placing 3rd
but not before losing my pipe the last 100 yards of the race with only 1.5
minutes between all of us. Word for the day is Loctite and maintenance.
The Senior Class continued to show no mercy to the class in front of them
as the top 3 riders made their pass on them in the 3rd and 4th laps, with
Patrick O’Niell coming in 1st, Hubert Morris taking 2nd and Don Hamby
coming in 3rd to round it off.
In the Stock Class it would be Josh Werdehausen taking the flag for 1st
with Geoff George coming in 2nd and Jeff Moss taking 3rd. Geoff
would not take the 2nd place so easy however coming in with a flat
tire and his energy spent after trying to get back.
The -24 C Class it was Donnye Shrum taking 1st, Devon Jarrett coming
in 2nd and Anthony White pulling out a 3rd place spot. Donnye is one to
be watching next year and even though his youth raises eyebrows, his
talent on a quad does not. He shows alot of promise and if he keeps this
pace he will be a force to deal with next year.

In +25 C Class Chris Jensen was our winner for 1st place and Charles Martin
taking 2nd with Mike Gregory coming in 3rd.
The 2-3-4 Class it was veteran rider Scott Thompson coming in at over 10
minutes for the 1st place spot with Luke Wyatt taking 2nd and James Moss
in 3rd. The battle still continues between Luke and his brother Tucker
in this class and I suspect to see it continue next year.
Finally, in the Beginner Class it was first timer and an active duty sargent
from Scott AFB, Chris Smalley aboard his Polaris Predator taking 1st
with a 2 minute lead, Johnny Loy taking 2nd and Ryan Gaddy
coming in 3rd.
It was a great end to a good year of racing in the MHSC series
and I want to thank ATV Racing Extra for all the support they have shown
us this year.
Thanks goes out also to the series president Frank Levain, score keeper Erica
Range, Monica Kellison for the race reports done on Ex Riders , Miller
photography for all the great action shots and all the promoters and land
who make the series what it is today.
So all that is left for the year now is to brush up on my bench racing
techniques and think of spring.
See everyone on the track next year.

hey scott and missouri gang- i went to ironman and had a good rqce til i hit the hill climb and rolled the 400 down the hill! i am ok however i did get a round of applause from the spectators as a cool wreck. i managed to get back on track and up the hill 3 more times only to finish 34th and 180th overall out of 400+ so all in all it was a great track with lots of tecnical areas and not as much mud as last year. the afternoon gang had a great track it turned more tacky and itt warmed up. i am trying to find someone who might have video taped my crash, so if anyone knows of anyone let me know. well off to go to bed so i can wake up and survey the damage to old green tomorrow.

What line did you not make it up? I did the straight out of the vreek far right the first lap lets say i would have been in the same boat but thanks the spectators that helped me out. I thought it was a good track lots of fun, wish I would have bought new tires this mornig, the 2 year old Razr's just didn't have enough life in them for some sections, got stuck 9 times. Who else got stuck in the creek bottleneck on the second lap? 16th in my class, should have been better, but I kept getting stuck, and the 400 just can't hang with these new 450's in the field sections. Great race, had a blast, nothing broken.

Mike Dankle said it has been like that every year. He said, some people will just quite the race when they see the hill. It sounds ridicoulous, My bro Mitch is a pretty good rider, anyway the spectators pointed him up the hardest line. He was hanging on by a thread, right before his quad was about to go flipping down the hill a bunch of spectators jumped on it, hooked a rope up to it and pulled him up. Being that he was having a terrible day he called it quites and said it was not worth tearing anything up. Dan Schaffer, an A rider in the MO series had his quad flip down the hill, as did Tyler Martin. It really sounds like they need to route the morning class around this hill because a lot of these people just ride for fun and dont want to ruin a $10,000++++ quad on one stupid hill. Later guys

He stayed on the gas an left with there tow rope.Which ended up wrapping around his axle.He battle hard with Tyler Lenig back an forth which was awesome only to pass Tyler back a mile or so from the finish line.Seen so many Mo. an Ia. racers there.:D

Ya it was alot muddier for the morning class (thats me) but the creek sections were worse for the afternoon class's. On that last pic if you go over two trails over thats the one I flipped my bike and snapped my steering stem. i think i broke my thumb too :( While i was sitting there for about an hour and a half I saw countless bikes tumble end over end. one guy was carried out on a stretcher. One guy totalled his quad with a bent frame, handle bars, axel, a arms etc... I wish I had my camera to get some good shots for you guys. Oh well, there's always next year! OH btw I saw a few guys out there with video cameras. If you have video will you PLEASE upload it so we can all watch the mayhem.

THE HILL I LOST IT ON WAS THE FIRST ONE STRAIGHT OUT OUT OF THE CREEK ON THE FAR RIGHT- WOW WHAT WAS I THINKING. YEAH SCOTT IT PROBALY WOULD HAVE BEEN BETTER TO WATCH THAN RACE BUT THEN AGAIN IT IS VERY CHALLENGING AND THE RUSH IS TOO GREAT TO TURN DOWN SOMETIMES.

I just know i would of been one of the one's tumbling down that hill! That looked like a mess but wish i would of been there.:(

If I feel the need to I will hit myself with a tier Iron and throw my quad off the roof. Would cost less in gas money and I would have the same out come. I brused body and a broke quad. Glade I stayed home.

The hill was not that bad, just some lines were bad, like a jump halfway up. There must have been 10 different lines up it all with thier own surprise. The line everyone was flipping down looked the fastes, and it was the first one you saw coming out of the creek. I know on the first lap, I came out of the creek looked straight ahead, pinned second and went for it. Halfway up realized not a good idea, but was commited. Thankfully spectators helped me out. The next 3 times through, came out of creek, and went more to the left, much easier. Had a blast hope to see some more pics, I didn't havemy cammera, or I would put mine up here.

Well my brother Mitch said the spectators pointed him to the hardest line. He did not relize it until there was a swarm of them keeping him from going back down backwards.

10-24-2005, 01:22 PM
You have to be careful as too where the spectatores are pointing you. Most of the time it is a good line, but others it is not.

How do yamadog riders know how to tell if its a woman or not? I didnt think their bikes stayed running long enough to get out of the gerage. If their not being rebuild from dropping valves or breaking rods their catching on fire :D (I had to jump on the bandwagon b/c I ride a honda.)
