i was wondering what to jet my 400 at with a hotcams stag1 cam
right now i am runnin with hmf slip on and a main jet 160

also would withy the cam mod added would a full hmf be any better

jetting, i would say go up to about a 165. this is a rough estimate so it will prolly need to play around withit a little. as far as doing just a cam, it really goes hand in hand with a piston. If you put in a high comp piston with the cam you will notice a big difference in the bike. doing just one or the other doenst change stuff that much.

you will notice a difference with the full hmf. i would leave the 160 in if it was me.

Yeah I agree, but every engine is different and no one on here will be able to tell you what jetting is perfect, we can only give you ballpark. For instance I have an EX with an FMF TI-4 slip-on, a uni w/out the lid, a stage 1 cam, and an 11:1 piston and I have a 155 and Im running rich!

you DO NOT have to re-jet for a cam. as far as a full system, you will see significant gains with the addition of a header on the ex
