Everytime I check my air filter I find it laying in the bottom of the air box! Any one else have this problem? It is a white bros. air filter using stock cage and stock clamp.Any suggestions.

If it's a common problem I'd recommend getting a new brand of filter..

you may be over-tightening it, causing it to slide off the sleeve. just a thought.

my stock filter once came off inside the airbox at the track and flipped completly around backwards to where the rubber boot clogged up my intake and it died. i couldnt figure out why it wouldnt run , it had gas and everything , so my next guess wht it fouled the spark plug for some reason. ever tried to change the spark plug after about 4 hours of hard riding when ur motor is still about 3 billion degrees? i stuck my hand in there the first time and just about pulled back a nub. needless to say i was a little bit pissed when i took the seat off , hit the starter and my tube from the airbox to the carb was squeezing itself together which every revolution of the motor.i popped the lid , said a few choice words , and put it back in right. this happened back in the " stock suspension days " which really sucked compared to now. i have a k&n now and it doesnt do that. i have heard that foam filters filter better than k&n's but do not provide as much flow and that K&N is best used only in sand where as foam filters are to be used in dust. im seriously thinking about buyin me a twin air or a uni. if so , would anylike to buy a K&N w/ outerwear + filter charger kit?? lol just kidding , gotsta have a spare everything!!
