Full throttle?

I heard that the 400ex from the factory doesn't get full throttle. Is this true? If so why and how do i check and fix it?

This was true on mine. Just screw the throttle cable out at the thumb throttle until you can feel the carb open all the way. ;)

I read the same thing and I checked it at the carb and it was not true. Mines a 2001. I couldn't tell by feel, so at at same time I threw some jets at it.

Yup the guy that assembles them at the dealer usually never does this . I know Ive been there.
