Going to keep it stock bore, already have JE 11-1 piston, in previous motors i ran the Hot Cams stage 2 cam. I race pure MX nothing else. What Cam do you reccomend and what about valves? Im trying to keep it cheap thats why i stayed with 397cc

I would stick with something more torque oriented like a white bros 1498, web 450, or the stage 1 hotcam. Your gonna need all the torque you can get with that small of a bore.

The xr's hrc cam I hear is very good and still using the decompressor. I have the stage 2 in mine and love it. If you mx with 18's on the back you dont need all the torque he's talking about.

My 416 hangs with most of the big boys from start to first corner n/p. Now if you want speed for drag racing only then yeah you want a more torque oriented cam. IMO

I have the HRC cam and love it. Best cam I've ever ran in my quad.

If you're doing MX, get a TC Racing 926 Cam! Great power all across the powerband.

i have had good luck with TC's mx grind cam. i believe it is the 924 though. i think the 926 is his woods cam.
