I have an HRC end cap and 180 MJ on an otherwise stock 05'. What is a better investment, a Dr. D pipe or a cam. I ride with a guy that has an 06' piped yfz. I like to ride mx and occasional trails. Thanks in advance.

My advice is to go first with the pipe, next an air filter (K&N) and then the cam. And don't forget to rejet your carb after installing the pipe...

Pipe because a cam isnt going to do any good without an exhaust.

Save up for a higher compression piston AND a cam at the same time and you will be amazed at the increased power.

i don't think it really matters. if you plan on getting both i would almost get the cam first to have that in and out of the way.

It does matter because he asked what would be the best investment, the cam or the pipe? Clearly the best investment would be to get the pipe first because you'll feel a much bigger improvement with it than with the cam...

you think you will feel more out of a pipe than the hrc kit? i don't think so. the hrc can be had for around $270 shipped right? i wouldn't even bother with a slip on. whats a full pipe cost?
