Currently 2000 440 ex with 20x11x10 standard holeshots.
I ride woods trails50%, mud 25% ( or more ) , sand 10%, dirt roads 5%, creeks/gravel 10% . I like the way my current tires perform with the exception of mud, sand, creek/gravel performance. I want allot more traction in the mud, sand, and gravel/creek areas. I seem to be down to klaws or razr2's. All I hear is klaws or knarly, or hd or razr2. I need some overwhelming firsthand opions on what to get. My gut says razr2's, but I need help. By the way I am going to go with 22x11x10 and buy new wheels. Does it matter if I get 22x11x9 or 22x11x10's What is the diffence?

thanks.

for woods riding I would go with the 9" rim, the 10" rim is more for flattracking or TT racing ( although I think the 700 V-force came out with 10" rear rims ). but the 9" rear rim is by far the norm for woods ( plus you have twice as many tires to choose from ), sounds like klaws, razr2 or HD's would be the way to go for you. All 3 are good tires I would go with whichever you can get the best deal on

I'm not totaly for sure on which wheel I would run if I was you. But if you already have ten inch rims, you would need to get ten inch wheels. But if you want 9's u'll have to buy new rims and tires. Personally for the woods I would buy some beadlocks 9'' and holeshot HD's

I have 22-11-9 Razr-2's on the rear with 9 inch black label douglas wheels on my 400. I had holeshots before 20-11-9 they are fun if you like to fishtail and spin. My razr2's hook up everywhere and seem to climb anything I'm dumb enough to try. As far as going to 22's they give you more clearence and cut my salmming my swingarm skid plate in half therefore bending it up to touch my rotor! They also give me a wider contact patch for superior traction in mud but the guys behind me hate to follow me on anything loose. I will tell you...that you loose a little bottom end going from 20-22's I dropped a tooth in the front and was back to where I was and then some. I love my 22's for heavy trail riding that me and my friends do here. Put it this way we ride with 5 400ex's after one of us went to razr2 22's now only 1 still run holeshots (and we all had them before) they also have a taller sidewall causing your hadling to drop ever so slightly but with what I gained it's worth it!
