Currently 2000 440 ex with 20x11x10 standard holeshots.
I ride woods trails50%, mud 25% ( or more ) , sand 10%, dirt roads 5%, creeks/gravel 10% . I like the way my current tires perform with the exception of mud, sand, creek/gravel performance. I want allot more traction in the mud, sand, and gravel/creek areas. I seem to be down to klaws or razr2's. All I hear is klaws or knarly, or hd or razr2. I need some overwhelming firsthand opions on what to get. My gut says razr2's, but I need help. By the way I am going to go with 22x11x10 and buy new wheels. Does it matter if I get 22x11x9 or 22x11x10's What is the diffence?

thanks.

yea i would go with the razr2's and for the tire size 22x11x10 and 22x11x9 the last number is the rim size so one would be a 10inch rim size the other one is 9inch rim

I understand the differnece in the 9 and 10 inch rim , what I want to know is is there a performance factor involved or what. Why would I get a 10 inch instead of a 9 inch rim?

thanks

Bigger wheel and smaller tire(less sidewall) will result in less unsprung weight, and better handling. However with a small sidewall and big rims expect a LOT of dents and bent rims.

Also Knarlys all the way for what your riding situations are. I have a set of 20" knarlies for trails, and a set of 18" klaws for MX, these kenda tires are some of the best I've used.

yea razor 2..they hook up really well.. um i dont think there is a big difference in wheel size... 10 inch rim will be a little more heavy... but i dont think a huge difference...are you gonna buy hipers?

Hipers... no I was actually going to go cheap and get the .190 ITP aluminum wheels. What do you think about the cseries on my ex?

i have razr 2's and i love them for general riding. great trail tires, but the ONLY place they are usless is mud. they cake up and become slicks real fast. our other 300 has bear clawz and they rip up any surface, especially mud

all razrs and all tires in general will cake up and get slick as he said it if your bike does not have enough power to turn the tires in really muddy conditions throwing the mud out of the tread. If you cant spin the tires in all conditions you probably shouldnt get them. But if you are going to get the 20x11x9 and are at least piped you will be able to spin them in all conditions letting the tires clean themselves.

i am talking about thick clay like mud. regular mud puddles they are fine. but the claws are way better in the mud hands down.

Yea, Ive had both Razr's and Klaw's and the klaws seem to hook up a little better then the Razr's. Although I have noticed that my Klaw's self clean alot more then my Razr's did, the Razr's seemed to cake up alot more in the nasty stuff, either way razr or klaw you will be happy there both great tires, and have about the same wear charactoristic's.

I know this is a different tire alltogether, but what kind of results would a 22x12x9 Bear Claw tire give. My 440 has plenty of power and torque.
