Speed ?

How fast would a 400ex go ?? My friend says he's buying one that goes 93 .... I may be wrong but it seems a little far fetched ....

stock for 04 and prev. was like 64 i believe , and the 05's are like 9mph slower......does this sound right? something about different gearing, and as far as 93 id like to know his mods/tire size/gearing.

A bone stock 05 and 06 400ex will do 66,67mph

its possible for a 400ex too hit that speed but with hevy mods and the right gearing. are you sure he wasent taking about kmh

93 damn he is more likely lieing cuz from the 60's-90's is 30 mph difference their that would have to be some SERIOUS work

The older models only did that speed, and they did gear reductions on the new ones so how is that possible?:confused:

my bone stock 400ex with 22 inch tires did 65 Topped according to GPS. I dont think any 400 could pull that kind of gearing

i got 22's in rear and my trail tech says im doin 63 so take it for what i worth...notta dang thang

hey its possible the person who drove beside me said i was doing 69-70 but i'll jus sy 67 to be safe and not to make ne one not beleavie me so im srry but it does

i heard to that the 05 400ex's only go 55 and the older ones go in the mid 60's

and if u got a 500 kit with sprocket candes u could easly hit 93

93 isnt gonna happen, my 440 with the tallest gearing i can find 16/36 with 22s out back pushes uper 70s maby low 80s

rilly well if u buy a 500cc kit for a 400ex u will hit 86 mph with stock gearing and 21' tires so if it goes 86 stock gearing then im shure it will easly hit 93 mph.

the kit is only $800

its a 440 bore and i think a +7mm stroker kit

and i saw 35 tooth aluminum sprockets but they suck

my 05 is faster top end then my friends 04' with the same mods basicly... not that top speed matters but just my $.02, ever bike is different, and 1 tooth down in the front i wouldnt think slowed it down 9 mph, but hey im humand and im probably wrong

i hit 68 on my '02 with a 14 tooth front. it was one of those CHP signs that they put up on highways. so however accurate that is......
