my 04 400ex has a massive squeking problem whenever i lift the wheels and lower them back to the ground or the shocks get compressed fast it squeks!!! it sounds like there is a damn bird under me when i wheelie and land back on my wheels!! its only coming from one side and i think its coming from my shock or around it... is there anything i can do>? it usually stops if i go through a puddle in the woods or go woods riding for a while.

Just spray some WD-40 or some chainlube in all the bushings

Spray Blaster or WD-40 all over your swingarm/rear shock/front shocks/a arms...It should stop...might take a while, if it dont stop right away, try doing it then going riding and then checking it.

did that it made it worst becuz dust is attracted to the WD 40

Mine does the same thing and the WD didn't work and I got to looking around and I grabbed the shock and I noticed it wiggled, well the bushing was ate out form the guy before me not taking care of it. You might need new bushings if not take the A arms off and grease the bushings after you put them back on take a rag and wipe the grease off that squeezed out and no dirt will stick to it.

spraying lubricants on it would be the sorry and lazy way to do it like I said grease the bushings of the a-arms and the shocks

I agree with that!

If you want to do it right you need to remove the bolts and bushings, lube them with molybdenum disulfide grease (replace if neccessary) then reassemble.

WD-40 may be good stuff but it isn't for everything;)

My 400 squeaked when it was new @ the lower shock mounts. They had just overtightned the nuts @ the dealership. I loosened them about a 1/4 turn & it quit. No problems since & the bolts have not come loose.
