I have to tell you, I own an EX, I have a 440 and I can tell you from experience.....

you will never get out of an EX what those new 450's are ,its like comparing apples to oranges :(

There is ALOT of in betweens on big bores, depends on several things and what it is your REALLY looking for, you might want a 450 :D :p ;)

With the right engine mods you can keep up with the 450's, I do and mines only a 406cc!

I have a 416 that has been port and polish and some other stuff done to it.I had it on a dyno a few months ago and it put out 34 hp without using dyno tires, so you can add another 3hp... NOW look at the hp on the 450's :D

I am not comparing apples to oranges here just hp to hp !!

and right now ,mine is somewhere in the 40-43 HP range..well Im being realisitc, a 400ex is NOT going to smoke a 450 if your an Advanced rider.. My ole man runs Pro here ands the torque the 450's put out are CRAZY!!! Mine will hang and hoelshot at times, but power for power a 450 has more Huevoes... PERIOD. I still ove my EX and the power , I cant believe what a difference my 440 made, the top end is GREAT!, but if I could buy a new Honda tomorrow, I would.

Gaskets seem to be the biggest thing I read, but I have never had that problem with my kit .
