front end squeak!!!!!

my front suspension is squeaking and driving me CRAZY!!! how do you lube the front of a 400ex ????????

Mine did the same thing until last weekend when I finally decided to lube everything. The problem area for me was where the shock mounts (top and bottom). Just take the bolts out and lube the bushing. It doesn't take long. While you're at it you might as well grease everything else. Just look for pivot points or grease boots, that's where the grease is needed.

here's a stupid question. i have the same problem with squeaking in the front .so how do you grease the a-arms and shocks? there's no grease zerks,just take 'm off and grease it by hand?

ya i do it once every other month just take the shock off and the bottom bushing out a start greasen:D

I thought mine was the shocks but it turned out to be the rubber at the top of the steering shaft. I took the two bolts out and coated it with Marine grease and it never squeaked again. My EX was stolen May 20th and I hope it starts squeaking again and drives the damned thief nuts!

Mine squeked there also. It took two seconds to grease and made the handling feel alot better.

it may also be the aarms, lube them up where they go into the frame
