I know i need to get a clymers repair guide but does anybody know how to align my front tires on a 400ex?

All suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks again, Mike.

loosen both tie rods. put the front end in the air. its better to have someone sitting on the quad holding the handlebars as straight as they can. measure from the middle of the front of the tire to the other tire in the front. then do the same thing for the rear. the rear middle of the tires should be 1/4 to 1/2 inch more so your toe in is perfect. 1/2 inch may be pusshing it. then, hand tighten the tie rods WITHOUT letting them twist. then yopu can torque down the locking nut on the tie rod. you should have a 99% precise alignment with a perfect toe-in.
Now, there is a tool you can but that doug gust came up with that specifically measures toe in from the front and rear tire width. but a measuring tape suits the recreational racer just fine.
