keep up with a 400ex

but seriously, it would most likely take an aftermarket piston, cam, exhaust, and maybe some more. but i don't know a lot about that engine. is it the same as the warrior motor?

it is the same as the warrior. i built my warrior with th an 11:1 comp piston, cam, intake, and exhaust, and it is dead even with my buddies 400 (before it got turned into a 440)

there are alot of way to make a lower powered heavier quad run with a 400ex. until the guy/girl with the 400 does the same mods and you are back at square one

A pipe and pro-flo intake will put you a few quads behind a stock 400ex, so you're still gonna need a few ponies and a perfect launch to beat one. I know the above from mulitple races we tried out.

Sell it and get a 400. Your going to spend WAY to much money on that thing to make it try and keep up...and keeping up with a 400ex these days isn't much. Anymore you need to make the 400's keep up with the 450's.....Best bet is to put a nice "For Sale" sign on that beast, and get a 400 or 450...just my opinion.

i know, you could steal a yfz450, take the motor out, put it in yours and put your motor in the yfz450. You then return it to the place where you stole it and noone knows the difference... except u and me:devil:

my friend has a 350 raptor that i rode with a few times. Stock for stock.......the 400ex is king. When my quad was stock, he couldn't keep up too well on the trails. wooo go 400's!

the 400 makes more power, and has better geometry... i feel that it is a much better quad personally. but, you can make a warrior compete! i beat an guy straight up on my high comp warrior vs yfz on an sx track! but an mx he would have killed me... if you want to mod it, bore and piston is cheap and effective. or you can get another quad, your choice!!

maybe this kid isnt good enough to buy a 450 maybe he should stay on his 350


but ne ways jus a-lot of practice and make sure you race on a track so you have a chance he mess's up cuz i raced a 450 that was loaded with my stocker 400 and i didn't even get blowen away if he messed up i coulda won maybe
