View Full Version : Racing in WI MI OH an IL

Is the any races in the above states that will allow a 15 year old to race a 400ex...besides the SOCC(good people and racing) If the will no have any more races this year that is fine but i want to know a series or two that will allow me to racer next year because i dont turn 16 til june 20th so i want to race a few more times..

There is talk that the Great Lakes Quad Series may drop there sanctioning with the ATVA next year and go outlaw. That would eliminate some of the age requirements that existed this year.

You are right, We havent decided exactly wut we are doing yet. its still a split subject between racers. if we drop atva, then alot of the tracks on the west side wil have to drop us. so therefore alot of the western racers will either have to always drive 4 or more hours, or have to race dist 16. alot of the east side racers are voting outlaw.

I know of at least three that let my 14 & 15 year olds race at...Splinter Creek, Taylorvill, and BET.

Taylorville, Splinter Creek, and BET are all in Illinois.

i'm pretty sure taylorville is youth production 13-15 yrs. old
200cc 2 stroke
300cc 4 stroke

most atva sanctioned tracks are this way. can't go bigger until
16.

my son races the mini-quad 90cc class
we were only able to make the last race(fair race) this year

he had run 2 of the races there last year.

he runs the national atva mx circuit.

and out of all the tracks we run in the country this is one of
his favorites tracks. do you live around there?

do you run pecatonica also? we were not able to make it this
year, but will next year.

yeah i remember your son racing, the 90 class has really progressed in the last couple years. i live like 2 blocks away from the track, so i go up whenever i can.
