My son races against one FT, it's pretty fast!!! It's in a 300ex chasis, my 300 will keep up hopefully THIS year it'll PASS IT :D:D:D:devil:  They are nice, If we could find a motor we'd do it in a heartbeat!!!!

For around a 1000.00 it is like a whole new bike.
Lite and powerful.
Just find a good motor or one that needs a rebuild for cheap and have it rebuilt .
good luck.

Actually from what a lot of people have told me is that they are just as fast if not faster than a stock 400ex.

Being its a 6-speed, and you didnt have a headwind, it could be very well possible.

Do you plan on drag racing? Cause if not who cares about top speed, hell I can gear my 300 to do 120 but it would take forever to get there and have NO bottom end. My modded 300ex does about 65-68 with a 15 tooth front sproket, but still has enough bottom end to pull the front wheels off the ground in 2nd and 3rd. I would worry about top speed, worry about how fast you get there.

Web hardened rockers
Kibble white H/d valve springs
HMF slip-on
White Brothers header
Ported & Polished Head done by myself
4 Angle Valve job done by my mechanic

There are some other tricks done but are between my mechanic and I. I also dont want to specify some of my parts on a public board.
