I was wondering if it would be possible to copy a dvd onto my computer if I only have a DVD player, and a cd-rw in one drive? This is on my laptop...Any programs I can use to do this? Than possibly burn it onto a cd??

and before you do any of what was posted (not that it was wrong info, just misleading) you need to figure out how to by pass the copy write protection on the dvd.. its there, some programs wont let it work, some will.. but the ones that will are few and far between... but if you look, you can find them ;)

I use "DVD decrypter" ,its a program that gets you pass the copy write protection on the DVD's and let you copy the intire movie onto your computer, after that to burn it onto a blank DVD I use the program nero, but the DVD decrypter WILL let you copy DVD movies

Do yourself a huge favor and spend the $40 on a dvd burner and forget about it. Take out your CD-R drive and install the DVD burner in it's place. This way you can put your DVD that you want to copy in your player, then put a blank dvd in your burner. Start up DVD shrink and it will rip the DVD and burn it.

Just an example of how cheap they are these days.
