Thats kind of alot to spend on that carb,if it was maybe like 80 dollars i would say go for it,you could always resell it but 210 is kind of alot, sorry to say

not too rob your post or anything like that butt does any body know anything about the carb on the yamaha yfz450
(or yzf i never get it right im asking about the quad) ive heard it is a 39 fcr and would work well for a 440 ex due too the fact (i think) that the ccs are real close (ie 439cc on a yfz ?? ) some one told me they were identical too the 39 fcr that everyone buys for $600 and ive seen them go cheap used.

well the cc's dont really matter as much as the porting done on your head. I have the fcr 39mm made for the 400ex and it's a truly awsome carb. I wouldnt recommend putting anything bigger than a 39mm on a 400-4??ex because it will be too much! Check out ebay, there cheap on there used usually. You dont want that tps(throttle postioning sensor), you dont need that and its a pain in the ***.

so what other carbs will fit on the 400 with out huge modification, like i know the 450r carb needs a new intake boot made.
