03 cannondale cannibal $2,500 or trade!!

2003 Cannondale Cannibal with all upgrades and updates done last summer.... Have the papers.

I am the second owner... SUPER SUPER FAST 440CC fuel injected motor, faster than my modded Z400 and beat a few stock 450's in a drag.

HERE IS THE CATCH.....Well I let it sit for a few months, and now I can not get it to fire up? It cranks and cranks... but never makes it. Some one on cannondaleriders said I need to take it to a shop and have them do a D&M test and it is something very minor, like timing or something. These quads are fuel injected, and have a computer and the D&M test will plug in the comptuer and tell you whats wrong. I just do not have the time or money right now.

Has all fresh oils

Has new plug

Has new fuel filter

Brand new stock exhaust

Looks almost new... very low hours, even has stock tires which have 75%+ tread life left. There is a bend on the inner right rim, but it holds air, and doesnt leak at all. The quad is in AWESOME shape.

I paid $4,500 for it about 6 months ago, but because I can not get it to crank over, I will let it go for $2,500 !!!!!!!!! It has to be something very very minor, I just do not have the money right now to find out, and dont know how to work on it myself!

I will also concider a trade for a 400ex or MX bike, let me know what you have....

you're not touching the gas AT ALL when u try to start it right??? also try pulling the clutch in and try a different kind of plug. Also pull the gas lines off the tank and make sure they're clear. Also is the fuel pump working? just a few things to check

I am not touching the gas, I know they will flood and foul if you do.... I actually have to pull the clutch in, in neturel, or it wont crank at all.....Fuel pump is working, I can hear/see it and I replaced the fuel filter, but I will check the lines tommorow...

ok is it cranking slow.if so it could be aan oil check valve leaked.which after sitting for some time(mine does it after only two days) oil getis on your piston, hydrolocking it.what u do is pull the plastics and pull the plug.turn it over and it will shoot the oil out of the top like ol faithful...that could be one solution.we have six cannondales and have had our fair share of problems but i wouldnt trade them now that i know and understand them.

No it cranks perfect, no hesitation at all. Some on www.cannondaleriders.com say I need to check and possibly replace the coil.... Going to check to see if I am gettin spark tommorow....
