were the 86 and the 87 250r motors the same?

nope the 86 use the shortrod and the 87 was the first year for the long rod

the spacer plate, and im not sure what year, but a briged intake was used

no stock trx or atc 250r engine uses a spacer plate. the spacer plate is just used when using different year pistons and rod length.
