Stock for stock the blaster will win on the road. But everywhere else the 300ex will win.

close but blaster would pull out front ON PAVEMENT. anywhere else the 300ex would win stock vs. stock mostly cause the baster is very tippy. but it depends on the rider also

Give us something to work with.

Level of mods? Bone stock, pipe/filter/rev limiter, medium mods, or high mods.

You gave us pavement drag race. But didn't give us a distance. 100m or 1/4 mile?

100m with pipe/filter/rev it would be very very close, but blaster would probably win. 1/4 mile blaster (300ex can't rev as high).

My question is why in the world anyone would be conerned about a drag race between these two quads escapes me.

It's like asking if a 1995 geo metro, or a 1995 ford festiva would win in a 1/4 mile drag race.

If you want to win a drag race.. get a banshee, mod the carbs, add toomeys, replace the filters, rejet, and hang on.

because my freind and other freind are arguing because the one with the blaster said he would win and i told him the 300 would win because thats what i heard. And no way does a blaster have more top speed than a 300, ive smoked plenty when we were revved out

Only if the 300 had 22" tires and the blaster had 18" tires and/or lower sprocket gearing would you be able to have a higher top speed with the stock 300ex rev box on there.

I beleive the 300ex hits the rev limit at 8600rpm. (might be a bit off, been a while mines been modded for a long time.)

If both quads were running the same diameter rear tire and had stock gearing.. the blaster will always have a higher top speed.

Swap out to a 9600 rpm CDI, then you'll be about the same on the top speed.

This is still assuming asphault or hardpack, because sand is a completely different story.

no way, the blaster only goes 57 (according to ditr wheels gps), and i have a 250x and i know it goes over that, but a 300ex will win untill the rev limiter, right?

If you read the other 50 blaster vs 300ex threads.. you will see a concensus that the 300ex and blaster are basicaly a dead even tie in almost every aspect.

It's almost like asking, will the 1998 300ex or the 2004 300ex win in a drag race. ;)

THe 300ex and blaster are so close in performance, the difference is going to be in the rider ability 100% of the time.

FYI.. the 250x is ever so slightly faster than either the blaster or 300ex in a drag race for the first 100 meters. The 300ex is a stroked version of the 250x. The 300ex accelerates a little slower, but has more low end torque.

I hate when people have comments like that.Just because its not the fastest bike stock, doesnt mean it cant be built for racing. You obviously don't know the capabilities of a drag built blaster.I dont know about where your from, but I kno here, they have blasters running high 4's low 5's in 300ft.Which is pretty damn fast no matter what it is.

And to answer your question,a blaster responds to mods easier. But dont bet on the 300ex.
