426 bogging down? Help!

I just put a uni air filter on my 426 ex. Now whenever I get on it hard it wnts to bog down and die out. Do ya'll think it may be the jets? I used to run a K&N but just switched to uni and now it bogs. Any help will be appreciated!

probly is jetting, it sounds like you might be rich, the K&N filters alow more airflow, than the uni filters. this would change you rfule to air mixture. try going down one size on your main. by the way good choice switching to the uni, K&N's have a nasty tendency of sucking in dirt...

did you wring the oil out of the filter when you oiled it, like pappy sound sounds like its oiled way to much

No I was at a race when it did it. I didnt have any oil with me but the K&N spray oil so I sprayed that on it for the race. What type of oil do you guys recomend?

i may be mistaken, but the oils are different for a foam filter versus the K&N gauze filter. id wash it and try using an oil for foam filters. i use whatever is on sale:p

I use the No Toil cleaner and oil on my UNI, it's good stuff...

Napa sells a spay-on foam filter oil. I use that:D
