What CDI box is really worth the money? I want to get one but I want to get the right one.

I have the Vortec CDI that C&D installed and it is GREAT. My 416 his the rev limiter instantly! I would highly recommend it. It is a little pricey ~$400 but if you don't want to spend that much, there are other great models as well. Colby can help you with making the right choice.

i think i read it on this site that a box for a xr250 will work and raise your rpm by 900 or so. the xr250 box is cheap, compared to some of the aftermarkets. you'll probly have to do a search to find the info.

^^^^^ what he said I done forgot where I found it but it improves your top end curve and top end by 900 rpms just get a stock xr250 dirt bike cdi from somwhere it will be better than the stock and it will be cheaper thean vortec my dad has an xr250 but I havent tried it yet

The cheaper boxes like the xr one will cause a hard starting problem in cold weather.

many boxes sucha s the WB, magnum, Big gun are just XR250 boxes under thier name. get a good one from GT thunder, TC racing, or i heard the Hot shot from ricks Motorsport electrics is good. They are lees expensive than the vortex but better than just an XR 250 box.

dont get the white bros rev box.. it messed with my timing and actually slowed my bike down... i took it off it runs fine again
