I have a paul turner eliminator on my 88 and i love it. Good broad smooth power band. It also fits well, which is really important.

I run a paul turner hi-rev on mine, the fit and finish is excellent and it performs awesome. With my race gas dome the motor still has a very good low end and an awesome top end.

There really isn't the "Best pipe" for a 250R, its just what type of riding and power your wanting.

For low end I would recommend ESR TRX6 or Sparks MX pipe.

Some of the good all around pipes include ESR TRX5 and Paul Turner mid range pipe.

If your wanting strictly top end, look into ESR TRX11 or FTZ pipes.

Probably my favorite three pipe brands out there for the R are:
ESR, LRD, and Sparks.

the sparks TT pipe is good for MX.... with the right porting and stuff.... I use that on my new R, and i like the results.... i used to be a big turner fan... but this is up there with turner

I've been pretty happy with my ESR TRX5 pipe, good all around power. I tried to order a Curtis Sparks pipe but that was almost 2 years ago and still no pipe:o

Go with the ESR TRX5 pipe, it has good all around power and it sounds good (not too loud). My bike came with a FMF Fatty pipe and I changed it to the ESR pipe, it was a big difference.

Ok, listen carefully, because I am going to impart some terrific words of wisdom. Ask almost anybody, they will tell you, I know a thing or two about motors.

Do you know why you have so many different answers? CT, LRD, ESR, Sparks, Paul Turner, ect...

There is no such thing as a single "best" pipe. The best pipe is one that matches your engine characteristics and your riding style.

This is very true, the best pipe is the pipe that your engine was built for. Mine was ported by duncan, so they used a paul turner pipe that matched the porting.

I would have to say I'm partial to ESR.....I have a TRX6 and with my motor it has a hell of hit
