XR400 cam in 400EX?????

I was told that the xr 400 cam will work well in a 400 ex. How true is this and what does it compare to in a hot cam?

i could be wrong, but i believe they are the exact same. and according to hotcams stage 1-3 are the exact same lift and duration for the 400ex and the xr400

They are not the EXACT same. Same fit, slightly different specs. Some people use the XR400 cam to get a slight boost, it's a little more aggressive than the stock 400EX cam.

However, if it's more power you want, a Hotcams will be better than the XR400 cam.
