I have some triple rate elka's on my EX....I has just wandering if I set the shocks all the way soft ( the setting on the rezzie )...will it efect anything else? Like I mean if I don't bottom then out is there a reason not to run full soft??? for a better ride?

it's for Mx by the way

thanks

if they are too soft, they might make the front end roll easier in the corners. if you bottom them out once or twice a lap, and they dont roll in the corners, then running them full soft is no problem.

well so far I love these things...I hit some pretty big stuff and they never even bottomed out....had them at full soft for some time then put them a little stiffer just to see...didn't really notice any difference...but I am a motor guy..I don't know much about shocks.

so it won't effect the handling or anything...just give a better ride?..except for a little role in the corners?

I'm almost postive lowering the comperssion will not effect rolling in the corners. That has to do with springs and transition rings. I aways rode with my compression set as low as it would go without bottoming out and it worked the best for me.

if you cant get them tobottom on full soft, then they are a little too stiff. if they are new, call elka and they should re-do them for ya

well they are setup for the right weight and a-arms...150..+2,
I don't have the money to redo them...and I am selling it anyway for a 450.....it's just to finish the season.

Well if you bought them new, then you wont have to pay to have them redone(provided they're not like 2 years old or anything) If your not bottoming out once in a while, then they are too stiff!

I didn't know that...but I got them used so it won't work.
