Hello, I have been trying to fix this little trx90 for a while and I am not sure if it is getting compression. I have one of those compression testers that you hold up to the spark plug hole. I had a friend hold it up against the plug hole while I pulled it. There was no compression. Then I put it in gear and pushed the bike while someone was holding it in the spark plug hole, there was compression while doing this.
I know I have to replace the carb but before I do this I want to know whats going on w/ the bottom end. I wasn't sure if these bikes have some sort of compression thing so their easier to start for kids.
Anyway, anything on this would be very helpful.
Thanks!

most of the compression testers i have seen and used screwed into the spark plug hole:confused:

and i do not believe they have any sort of compression release.

Definately get a tester that screws into the hole. The type you are describing with the rubber cone tip are pretty much useless. Also give it 3-4 good hard pulls with the throttle wide open to get an accurate reading.
