it may not idle right or not even run ..... jetting helps alot.... it also may not start real easy..... the bikes arent to sinsitive but they do have limits on how far off the jetting can be

Well you could run lean which will cause alot of heat build up and premature engine wear. If you have bothered to pipe and filter it you should definetly jet it.
With the simple mods like you and I have it is nothing to pull the carb off and just throw a jet in, there are tons of threads here and over at Z400central.

definetly jet it. You probably bought the exhaust to make your quad faster right? Getting a proper air/fuel ratio will also yeald more horespower and doesn't cost very much.

Even if you don't get the jetting perfect, it's still better to get close to a perfect a/f ratio.

well if you didnt jet it, there would be agreat chance that you would be running lean and possibaly burn a hole in your piston. For a little more money you can get a jet kit and make it so it is right.
