I have already replaced my valve springs with kibbler white ti retainers and heavy duty springs. I had my rockers hardened last time i did a cam but i think i got took on that couse they r defonently wasted.

My ? is this does any company make already hardened rocker arms or a roller rocker arm / cam setup or any thing that can help me. Or does anyone recomend a good shop that has reasonably priced hardening services?

with hardened rockers, you need a hardened cam. those rockers should ruin the cam, not the cam ruins the rockers.

I have seen stock rockers kill a hardfaced WB cam. It could be the shop sold him a HF cam and has stock rockers instead of HD rockers with drop in cam?

Sandrabbit; post a pic of cam and rockers. Theyre are few places that Harden rockers; most well known is WEB. WEB engraves date they were hardfaced on each rocker. Eve though the cam may not look worn I would bet a good bit of the lobe has been ground off it may just feel smooth.

I would replace both cam and rockers at once. Use stock rockers with drop in cam and HF rockers with hardwelded cam.

Well, I dont know story on the motor. I have bought and sold about 30 or so last two years and have seen some near new stuff and some that looked to be 20 yrs old. (00 400ex)

The White bros cam was grooved beyond selling and is paperweight at buddies shop. The stock rockers were grooved but not nearly as bad as the cam. The rockers may have been replaced as the cam was wearing once at least. 45 minutes and I can have a 400 motor in boxes separated:cool:
