This thread, and some members, are treading on real thin ice.

Contrary to some opinions, the moderators of this site do not think they are "Gods", nor are they on a power trip. We are regular people, trying to do our best to keep this site as clean and friendly as possible.

That's not always easy, and it gets more difficult as our popularity and membership increases. Occasionally, we WILL get immature members looking to start trouble. Often, it's easier to squash a problem BEFORE it starts, rather than clean up the mess afterwards. It's really a hassle to ban members, and even worse to ban and IP, it makes our jobs much easier to just close the thread before it gets out of hand.

One thing is constant, however, and I just recently learned. The decision to appoint a new moderator is NOT a simple, easy one. It's not entered into lightly. Once a moderator is chosen, he has already gotten approval from the entire moderating staff, that person has passed the litmus test.

If we don't tolerate personal attacks on other members, we certainly don't tolerate personal attacks on the moderating staff.

Whether you agree or disagree with how this board is run, the fact is that you know what will be tolerated and what is not. Just use simple judgment and it really shouldn’t be that hard not to get banned!;)

Same here. If they let you start over, then why not just warn you?

Also, Josh has contributed some to the site with his Banshee buildup walkthrough and all the other stuff.

as long as I'm back thats fine, I gotta do my build off this winter too.

What ever happened I'm sure everything was getting out of hand and it had to come to a stop, us being the members have to calm down and stop with the mod bashing and flame fests. Just come on the site to have a good time and chat. If you have a problem with someone use a pm, or aim almost all of us use AIM.

Anyway... Can have my 5000 posts back :p

Also, Josh has contributed some to the site with his Banshee buildup walkthrough and all the other stuff. Because prior warnings didn't work so why would we assume another one would? Banning someone gets people's attention as evidenced by this thread. You can warn someone until you're blue in the face but nothing changes until some type of action is taken. For the most part the members that get warned don't change. It's not until they get banned that that they come around.
