OK guys...I am cheap but I am looking for as much low end pulling power as I can get as cheap as possible.

Here is what I am thinking

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1,1&item=4574204908&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT

155-160 jet kit

Modify airbox for more flow

Uni air filter (maybe K&N)

what do you think?

Other suggestions?

no, those tips do nothing but look good. just keep your eye out for a used pipe and a clamp on filter(on the carb) that would be the cheapest.

Could you link me to a clamp on filter for this?

a 450R carb made a big difference in low end throttle responce

A 13t front or 40t rear sprocket would help...high compression piston kit would also make a big improvement..all of these mods are fairly inexpensive..I would do the slip on with k&n drop in and rejet to 155-160..that will be a huge improvement for low, mid and high end power..

I have the 450R carb, a big gun CDI and HMF slip on... my pred all around has massive amounts of instant torque..

Bout 3/5 of the page down...how is that?

Also how much is a good deal on a 450r carb?

I paid $220 for mine. Included carb, cables, and throttle.

Not too sure what cereal paid for his but, I think it was the same.

A good price should be btw $0-$200. Depending on what is all included.

I don't use foam. I am running a clamp on K&N right now. Just bought a CFM aluminum airbox from a guy off PredatorOwners.com

You should really check that place out.

I did check it out 185 for just the box...seems steep. I know it is well made...it at least looks like it.

Where can I get a clamp on K&N? I can seemingly never find pictures to know exactly what I am getting.

Why is the custom airbox worth it to you as well?

Open air filters are nice but, I like to adventure off the beaten path. Water is a risk. With an airbox, all is well. That, and I hear these thing flow better than a clamp on. So, I am hoping to see some performance from it. I picked it up for $120 shipped.
