Ok well i hadnt rode my KX 80 in about 2 years. I got it out of storage cleaned it all up. new filter. It started second kick. Let it idle then i went around the yard andd it was running great. Put it in the garage and the next day my friend wants to buy it. so i go out to get it warmed up for him to test it. now it wont fire. its getting gas. even when we put alittle gas in the cylinder no fire. Its getting good spark but it wont fire. I think its a short somwhere. what you guys think the problem is?
thanks

Greg

it might be the spark plug. try getting a new one. if not...check and make sure that u have spark and check the compression on it.

i wouldn't of put gas right into the cylinder... but that's just me, you might want to check your points... clean them with a piece of sand paper and ajust them... does it have compression?

nevermind about the points.. you said you had spark... will it bump start?

could be something stupid like a short somewhere or a bad ignition.
