hey guys,

well at last and after 1.5 months of waiting the following modds arrived

curtisx6 full system,k&n filter, dyno jet kit,cdi rev box and the degree key and thiere all for the 400 ex

first i equipped the curtis and the filter and i tried vs a stock z400 well the results are the z400 won its just that when i throttle is from 2nd and leave the clutch it bogs and needs 2 or 3 half clutchs i said its the jetting i equipped the cdi-rev box and the results were they did a really great job... well i equipped the jettings and needle is in 3rd position from up and i used the jettings that were told in the instructions im gonna try it tommorow

but what confuses me is that we also equipped a sparks and a filter for the z without the jettings and the results were that it gave way too much power for the z so do u think something is wrong with the ex ?

and if i equipped the degree key with the cdi together will there be any loss to power ? or any gain ?

we also noticed that both after the sparks x6 system the z and the ex backfires alot is this good or bad ?,,i mean when we throttle them and leave the throttle it backfires once or twice

you shud jet when you put the filter and pipe on man.......and yes the z is faster then the 400ex in stock form so with that said it will still be faster wit the same modds on it.

and the 400ex is backfireing alot because it is not jetted correctly

a z with an exhuast increases in power a lot more compared to a 400ex

oh, a Z400 will open up a lot more than a 400ex with modifications. make sure your throttle lever only has around 1/4 inch of slack in it.
