I OWN A 2001 400EX AND I WOULD LIEK SOME INPUT ON UPGRADES. I DONT REALLY RACE OF ANYTHING, I'M MORE INTO TRAIL RIDING. ANY GOOD UPGRADES FOR MORE LOW END POWER FOR WATER AND MUD?

An advanced timing key. Key cost about $20. Do a search on it.

Just the pipe filter and rejet made a huge difference for me. Especially for low end power. It make it alot easier to crawl through tight spots in first without feathering the clutch. Also way better for wheelies.
I also took the airbox lid off.

Well, for water and mud riding, I highly recommend keeping the air box lid on.
Even though I raced XC... I kept my air box lid on, used an aftermarket slip-on exhaust, K&N air filter, and rejet.
I really liked using my ITP XCT tires for trail riding through mud and water. NOTE: I also highly recommend a 14 tooth Renthal front sprocket too!
For even more improvement... Higher compression piston and cam, FCR carb with Boyeesen Quick Shot!:D
Good luck!:)

450r front shocks are awesome. I could not believe the difference in handling from stock.
Steering stabilizer would be good idea also.
