All right... After riding my raptor for a day (It ran fine) I decided to wash it. after I washed it I took it around to air it out and it cuts out now at about 1/2 - 3/4 throttle and you can't get over about 3-4k RPM's because it just cuts out. It idls fine and runs smoothly to the cut out point but it just wont ever get over maybe 4 grand. It's been doing this for about 3 or 4 days now, and I am supposed to be going to the badlands Saturday. Any help on this?

drain the float bowls
there is a screw on the bowls
could be water in there
blow out the spark plug
cap also hope that will help

check the parking brake at the lever, there is a safety device built in that will not let it rev over 3 grand. thats why i ask if you have a parking brake block off

Well, I took the air filter and cover off yesterday and it ran a lot better. It still cut out every now and again, but it ran better. So I'm almost positive teh secondary carb is jetted fat. Primary is 155, secondary is 175. That's four points apart and it shouldn't be that... (I didn't jet) I think due to a sharp atmospheric change around this area lately, it has set the jetting off... It was probably just about to do it and that was teh straw that broke it's back. So, this presents anothyer question.... What does the jetting need to be? It has a Big Gun EvoX Full sys, K&N asnd a lid.... Thanks

Is it a K&N stock replacement type of filter or do you have a pro-flo. Im running a full Sparks pipe, pro-flo kit with K&N, no airbox lid and im running 165/160 main, 4th clip from top on the needles, and 25 pilots.

that jetting seems screwed to me, generally it will be 5 off from the other side... for example 140 and 145 is stock... and since the main jets do affect 3/4 to full throttle it seems pretty plausible to me

Check plug and plug wire. I had water that somehow got sealed in b/w the plug and plug cap. I went to replace the plug and it was all rusted.

Yes, the main jets are screwed up. The right carb should be ONE size larger than the left carb. Remember, left-lean. Right-rich... The right carb feeds 2 intake valves, the left feeds one.

i have a billet aluminum tusk gas cap, with the 1 way breather valve thing. and i noticed that lets some water in when i was it...i would go to your local shop or most gas stations even have it. its called gas treatment i think, it takes the water out of your gas so you dont have to throw away over 2gals of expensive gas

One size as in 165 170?

yup! that is correct! thats why i gave an example, because jets also come in point sizes, like 147.5, etc
